About Our Constitution

The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India. It establishes the political code, fundamental rights, duties, and directive principles of the Indian Union. Drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and adopted on January 26, 1950, it is the world's longest written constitution with 395 articles and 8 schedules.

Our mission is to make this foundational document accessible to every citizen, promoting constitutional literacy and awareness of fundamental rights across all sections of society.

The Constitution represents the voice of "We, the People of India" and embodies the aspirations of a democratic nation committed to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

"WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:

  • JUSTICE

    social, economic and political

  • LIBERTY

    of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship

  • EQUALITY

    of status and of opportunity

  • FRATERNITY

    assuring the dignity of the individual and unity and integrity of the Nation
